CAPTAIN BARBELL TRIVIA
Captain Barbell debuted in Pinoy Komiks Magasin in 1963.
Bob Soler is the first actor to portray the role of Captain Barbell and Tengteng in the 1965 movie version of Captain Barbell.
Dolphy reprised the role with his alter ego named Ting-ting because he was so thin.
Edu Manzano played Captain Barbell in the 1986 movie version with Herbert Bautista playing Tengteng and Lea Salonga as Tengteng’s love interest. Darna made a cameo appearance in the movie with Sharon Cuneta playing the role.
The recent Captain Barbell movie starred Bong Revilla with Ogie Alcasid as Enteng and Regine Velasquez as Cielo (Enteng’s love interest). It is a 2003 Metro Manila Film Festival topgrosser.
Captain Barbell had a notable appearance in the Darna TV Series finale. His face was not shown though.
Richard Gutierrez will be the fourth actor to play the role and the first to portray the role on television. The actor who will play Tengteng is still unannounced.

alam nio puro kayo richard… e tignan nio naman ung story ng show… hindi ba ito similar sa smallville at the incredibles…
buksan nio nga mga mata nio…ung tractor ng lolo nia..ung metrorite na capsule, hindi man lang ginawang mukhang original ng mga scriptwriters…sayang lhat ng gastos nila dahil hindi tanga ang publiko!
